This post is sponsored by Dietz & Watson, but all thoughts and opinions are mine alone.
When I was a little girl, dinner time was the same every night. My mom would cook a delicious meal and we would sit down together at the dinner table, as a family. My dad was always home in time for dinner and we always sat around the table, ate dinner, and would share our high’s and low’s of the day. As we got older, family dinner time didn’t always happen. I had softball games, basketball games and worship practice. My sister had gymnastics and cheer. My brothers had basketball and baseball. Between all of our activities, we rarely ate dinner around the table. But my parents made a point to always eat together as a family as often as we could.
Now that I have my own family, I look forward to and cherish our family dinners. I don’t cook very often since I work a lot, and my husband works long hours. Still, we make a point to eat as a family. Whether it’s at a restaurant, at the park, or on the living room floor.
Eating as a family is important to me, because it’s one of the few times a day we are all together in one spot. I love talking to the kids about how they think their day went, asking my husband about his work day, sharing how my day was, and sharing all of our high’s and low’s of the day!
I love Dietz & Watson‘s current campaign, #choosethetable. In this modern age, mealtime has been redefined. All you need is good food and the people you love in order to #choosethetable. When my husband is away working long hours, I love running to the store and grabbing some of our favorites from Dietz & Watson. My kids love it and I love spending time with them, eating delicious food. We #choosethetable as a family, even if it’s not our own kitchen table. No matter when or where, eating as a family is so important to me!
We love Dietz & Watson‘s club sandwiches and sliders and the kids are obsessed with their pepperoni on-the-go snack packs!
How do you #choosethetable with your family? Do you make a point to eat together?
