The BEST Staycation Spot in Arizona

October 19, 2016

For my birthday, the Arizona Grand Resort hosted us for the weekend. The past few months have been anything but easy, so it was a real treat to be able to get away from all the madness. A staycation was a perfect option for my birthday weekend, because I was speaking at Pinners Conference in Scottsdale, Arizona. Also, travelling far distances with three children does not sound like a “relaxing” weekend to me, ha!!

My husband and I had both heard of the Arizona Grand Resort and have driven by the enormous property in Tempe quite a few times. But we were not prepared for what an incredible staycation we were about to have!

THE VILLA

When we walked into our room, we were stunned… This was easily the nicest suite we have ever had the pleasure of staying in. We had a stunning view of Oasis Water Park and South Mountain from our balcony. Our bathroom was ginormous, with a bathtub, walk in shower, and his/her sinks. The bedroom had a king size bed, walk in closet, dressers, and chairs. There was a kitchen with a full size fridge, sink, stove/oven, and dishwasher. The living room had a sofa that turned into a bed, a TV, dining table, chairs, and big windows that let in natural light. Brooklynn kept saying that she wanted to stay “foreverrrr” and I couldn’t blame her!

THE FOOD

I’m pretty sure I gained 10lbs during our stay. The food was AMAZING. We dined at The Lobby Grill for breakfast both mornings and it was delicious. The first morning, my husband had the huevos rancheros, I had pancakes, Harlym had eggs, bacon and fruit, and Brooklynn had blueberry bread and fruit. The second morning, we had the buffet which I am still having dreams about. I’ll let the pictures do the talking.

THE PROPERTY AND POOLS

They were several pools on the property, we visited two of them. We had so much fun!! The resort property was just incredible. It didn’t feel like we were in Arizona, it felt like we stepped into paradise. It was so green, with plants everywhere, gorgeous ponds, and breathtaking views.

OASIS WATER PARK

On Saturday morning, we checked out and headed to Arizona Grand Resort’s waterpark, The Oasis. We had so much fun on the slides, floating in the lazy river, splashing around in the wave pool and eating delicious food poolside. Brooklynn and Harlym especially liked the kiddie pool because they could walk around in the water! If not for anything else, we would come back for Oasis Water Park!!
