Lately, the world has seemed dark and lonely. I find myself scrolling through Facebook and have to put my phone down because my heart is too heavy to bear another post about innocent people being shot dead in the street, church bombings, children dying, police violence, gang violence, senseless acts of retaliation, and I could go on and on and on. And I’m supposed to raise three children in this mess? How? We have to DO better. We have to BE better.
Using Wire & Honey’s popular design from their #kidsforchange line, we created a printable with the words “Stand For Love”. All you have to do is write a sweet note, deliver it to a friend/neighbor/stranger, and share the act on social media with the hashtag #projectstandforlove! By following these simple steps, you are SPREADING KINDNESS AND LOVE! It’s so easy and it’s life changing!
3) Post it to social media and tag @projectstandforlove and use the hashtag #projectstandforlove so that others can join in, too!
For example, you can leave a few dollars at Redbox, bake cookies for your neighbors, deliver sandwiches to the homeless, give gatorade to your cable guy, leave a generous tip at dinner. The goal, as previously stated, is to spread KINDNESS, hope, and love and hopefully they will pay it forward!
This isn’t about religion. It’s not about race. It’s not about beliefs or judgments or opinions. This is about LOVE. Love yourself, love others, spread kindness, be good.
We’ve already had so many friends, family members, bloggers, social media influencers and business owners take part in #projectstandforlove!

My greatest hope is that I will be able to raise my children to be kind human beings my biggest fear is not being able to achieve this goal. As a parent we can only teach them so much and then the rest is up to them. I hope they learn through my actions rather than my words that caring for others and being kind is something they should always carry with them throughout their life. I want them to always look beyond the bad and see how they can bring out the good in everyone and themselves. This project is very near and dear to my heart and it pains me to see so much hate in the world. After doing a few random acts of kindness this week there was one thing I noticed when offering kindness to others : they were shocked, they were in disbelief that someone would help them and almost every encounter was left with someone stating “No one has ever done something like this for me before”. What kind of world are we leaving in where people are shocked by kindness? I hope this project begins a revolution where people start loving one another and looking beyond the horrible things we are seeing in the media. Be Kind. Always. -Mandy Bratton, Co-Founder #projectstandforlove / Owner The Blue Envelope(top left: paid for someone’s gas / top right: paid for a single mom’s groceries / bottom left: left a generous tip / bottom right: left dollars in the dollar section at Target)
If you are unfamiliar with our brand, we are quite the social justice warriors. We are fighting for change and believe that the hope for change in the future starts with our children. So that is why we are here! Due to the recent (and not so recent) tragedies it seems as if all of social media is pitted against each other. There is so much anger and animosity. We believe strongly that we must unify for change and that if we show love, empathy, and understanding towards our neighbors that will bring us one step closer to where we need to be. We are so excited for you to join us in this project of showing love in a world so full of hate. Together we can change the world. ❤️ -Rah Adams, Co-Founder #projectstandforlove / Owner Wire & Honey
Our act of kindness was to leave a few quarters and the candy vending machines. My oldest loves to always stop by these candy machines while we’re at the mall and this little treat makes her the happiest girl ever. I figured this should make any kid out there happy. It pulls at my heart strings when I see the news that another child has passed away. So if we could do this small inexpensive act of kindness and make a child happy, then our work here is done! –Rachel, Tutus and Heels
With the recent tragedies we’ve experienced, it is such a crucial time to stand together in love so that there is no room for hatred to grow. As a mother of 2, I want to teach my girls that there is still good in this world and that love ALWAYS wins. I want them to know that by doing good, even through the smallest acts of kindness, their love will have a lasting impact on others. -Linh, A Beautiful Rawr
There is so much good in this world but too often it seems to be overshadowed by the negativity that runs rampant online. I believe that social media can be a catalyst to #sharegoodness and I strive to do that daily. Each of us needs to be the good we want to see in the world. -Justine, Little Dove Blog
Standing for love is so important to me for many reasons. At a very basic level, love makes people happy. It brings joy to our lives. In light of the tragedy surrounding us in out world today, it is important for me to show my kids (and in part to convince myself) that love is the most powerful thing out there. Even within tragedy, love is present, and love gives us hope. Love will prevail. –Stephanie, Bawlers and Crawlers
I am making a little new mama care package for my apartment manager. She just had her baby a few days ago! Standing for love is so important to me because Christ has called me to love others. It is a way for me to show Christ’s love for others by doing something kind for them. It also makes me smile to do something unexpected for someone. –Sheila, The Sheila Jane Blog
Every summer our little family heads down to Ocean City for rides, soft serve ice cream, and our favorite caramel corn. This time we picked up two tubs, one for us and one to give away. In light of recent events in our country we decided to drop off the extra at the local police station. Nothing says thank you for the hard, dangerous, and often thankless job you do than Johnson’s popcorn. –Rachelle, Tuesdays with Jacob
All of the terrible & horrific things happening in our world daily makes me feel scared, heartbroken and hopeless. I need to be proactive and do something to help – and the only way I feel I can make a difference is through love & kindness, and most importantly, teaching my daughter those things. Our children are our path to a better world and it all starts with love. –Beth, Petite Hero Shop
Standing for love is something that we need more of. It’s a scary world and hard not to get caught up in all of the awful things that are Happening. I have a 1 year old and I want to share a world with her that is full of joy and love, yet to let her know that not everyone is as fortunate as we are to be surrounded by support and love. I could go on and on but basically it’s takes less time to love and care for one another than it does to spend our energy hating others and bringing them down. We need to be there for each other because in the end, love is all you need! –Lindsay, Middle of Somewhere Blog(purchased clothing for someone in need)
It’s important for me to teach my girls to love themselves and to love others the way God loves us. It’s makes us a happier family and gives us a happy life. When you choose to stand for love, it changes the world around you, the way you see people and the way you choose to live. That’s why standing for love is so important to me. Emma and I made cookies for our postal worker. My neighbor and I both have handmade shops and he stops by every single day before his route to grab our outgoing packages first! –Aly, Littlest Funk Blog
I’m honored to be a part of #projectstandforlove because I want to set good examples for my children. Through my actions, I want them to learn how to spread kindness among others. The world we live in does not have to be a scary place. Pray for peace! –Kelsey, Little Michaels Shop (that’s my son “Little” Michael and our favorite lady at the local post office. We made her cookies. Then we went to the store and I let Michael pick out chips, lots of candy, and her favorite diet dew. It was a lot of fun. We definitely made her day!)
One for me and one for my friend that we’re meeting at the park for a play date! I know it’s her favorite drink! Standing for love is important to me because your time on earth is short and I want to live it to the fullest and be the best person that I can be. I believe that kindness is key to living in a peaceful world. I appreciate what my friend does for me in supporting motherhood and relating to me in everyday life challenges! Cheers! –Kim, The Lavender Ladies
I work in an outpatient clinic for clients with complex mental illness. My colleagues are so hard-working and deserve an act of kindness to thank them for all they do with our clients. –Erica, Anna Georgianna Blog
Wow! We came to thank and bless our local police officers this morning with cookies and cards and they completely blessed us!! Officer Crowley gave us a complete tour of the Police Department and then took us over to the Fire House where we got to go in not only the fire trucks but the police SWAT Truck and Communications RV. The kids finished it out by trying out the police car and even getting to do the siren! Officer Crowley and his brother were NYPD and NYFD at 9/11 rushing to the scene when they were off duty & unpaid. He conveyed to us that him and his comrades truly desire to serve and protect us and that they are human with families and they also sometimes make mistakes…. But they learn from, correct & improve from their mistakes the next time. Thank you Aurora PD & FD and the brave men and women everywhere who truly love to protect us. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. Matthew 5:9 –Jenna, Lannie B Handmade
Standing for love is so important to me because God is love, and I want my heart and actions to be a reflection of Him. I want the people in my life, my children, and their children to know that in spite of how things appear, love truly, and always, conquers all. –Patricia, Life of a Minister Mom
Thank you to EVERYONE who has helped us launched this incredible movement! We are so excited to see all the acts of kindness! Changing the world for our children and the future generations starts with US.
