These small shops strive for world change and making a difference, no matter how small. Simply wearing these powerful words across your chest could change a life, save a life, or change someone’s attitude and bias. I love dressing myself and my children in clothing that allows us to share a good message with others (and remind ourselves things like “kind is the new cool”)!
MAMA SAID TEES
Mama Said Tees is a small shop owned by two mamas named Colleen & Colleen. Just five days after they started their “little company that could”, Colleen Stine’s sister was tragically killed in an unthinkable murder/suicide, leaving her two nephews, ages 8 and 10, without parents. This made their mission SO MUCH MORE important than they ever believed possible. The boys have joined Colleen, her husband and their three young children to make one big normal happy family. This incredible small shop just launched their campaign NORMAL. The proceeds will be donated to PACER’S National Bullying Prevention Center: “The END of bullying BEGINS with YOU.” You can share your story with us using the hashtag #letsredefinenormal.
And we can’t forget Deuce’s newborn gown that reads “It won’t be like this for long.” I mean… instant mama tears!
You can watch the NORMAL campaign video below. Make sure you have tissues handy!
SO FETCH DESIGNS
Brooklynn and I LOVE our matching “Kill Em With Kindness” tees! This is a message I hope to teach my kids and show them through my actions.
THE BLUE ENVELOPE
This “You Are Enough” tee is an incredible reminder for myself and for others who struggle with feeling like they fall short. When I posted this picture to Instagram, this is the caption I wrote:
“The past few days have been anything but easy. Being a mama to two active toddlers, while being sick and pregnant is no joke. I’ve been feeling defeated, broken, unworthy. But today I’m reminded that I am enough. Mother. Wife. Achiever. Overcomer. Believer. Fighter. Lover. I am all these things, and I am enough. On my weakest days, I am enough. Thank you @the_blue_envelope for reminding me of this. #projectloveyourself“
WIRE & HONEY
I already dedicated an entire blog post to these shirts that you can read here. I had to include them in this post, too, because they are incredibly powerful shirts. If we can teach our children to stand against things like racism and bullying, we can change the world.
WOMAN’S TOUCH APPAREL
C.E.O. and C.E.O.’s apprentice! This brand is all about empowering women.
Motherhood: Winging It… Because I’m not perfect and I don’t pretend to be. I don’t have all the answers… Neither do you! So let’s stop mom-shaming and wing it together. :)
CIRCLES OF CHANGE
Circles of Change is a movement created by Ophelia’s Place (an organization with support groups and treatment for individuals experiencing eating disorders) with three intentions in mind: -To change the culture and conversation surrounding health, beauty, and body image. -A creative way to provide long-term sustainability for Ophelia’s Place. -A way to collaborate with like-minded, mission-driven organizations to support a cause. I have never struggled with an eating disorder, but I have definitely struggled with body image since becoming a mama! I love this beautiful reminder that Every Body Is Beautiful.
