Last week, we took the kids to the Phoenix Zoo and had such a blast! They have such a love for nature and animals, so seeing their faces light up at each exhibit was the best experience. The girls’ favorite exhibits were the frogs, giraffes, and elephants! Funnily enough, Brooklynn was terrified of the Jaguars… even though they were sleeping! She said that they looked like the mean animal in Tarzan, haha! Check out our favorite photos and a video highlighting our favorite parts of the day below!
Things you need to do:
♦ Feed the giraffes
We all got to feed the beautiful giraffes, including Deuce! He actually wouldn’t let go of the lettuce, but the giraffe’s strong tongue broke the lettuce in half. Safe to say that Deuce doesn’t share when it comes to food.
♦ 4D theater
We watched a 4D version of Rio and it was awesome! It was our first family experience in a 4D theater, and the girls LOVED it. At first, they were a little bit apprehensive (the first scene, it was snowing so the theater filled with bubbles) but they truly enjoyed it!
♦ Pet Sting Rays
The stingrays were sooooo beautiful. This was a highlight of our day.
We ended our zoo day with a ride on the carousel!
♦ Ride a camel
If you’re going to do anything while at the Phoenix Zoo, ride the camels! Holy moly, this was the best part of our day. We did it SEVERAL times. When I was younger and visiting family in India, I got to ride camels and elephants, so it was an amazing experience to ride camels with my kids!

If you live in Arizona or are planning a trip to the Phoenix area, I highly recommend visiting the Phoenix Zoo!
