Just a few months ago, I would’ve considered my “mom uniform” to be flip flops, a tank top, sweatpants and dirty hair. I’m not gonna lie, it took a long time for me to adjust to the logistics of being a mama. Logistics like- Remembering to brush my hair. Getting dressed. NOT forgetting to put on deodorant. Putting on some jewelry. I could keep going, but I’ll spare you… I think a big part of it was that I wasn’t taking care of my mental health and I thought I was supposed to focus 1000% on my kids, which caused me to completely neglect myself.
But this pregnancy has been so incredible for me- both mentally and physically! I’m loving my body through this pregnancy. I’m not tearing up every time a new stretch mark appears. I love looking nice- not even for anybody, but for myself!
My new and improved mom uniform usually includes an empowering tee, skinny jeans or leggings, boots or sandals, hair done, make-up on! Of course, there are days when I’m too tired to function… But days I put effort into looking and feeling great end up being the most productive days for me!
There are a few pieces of clothing I would consider to be essential parts of my new & improved mom uniform:
“It’s A Mama Bear Thing” tee: Loved by Hannah & Eli | Roxie Booties: RubyClaire Boutique | Jeans: Hollister Co.
Absolute favorite shoes right now!! I wore them with a gorgeous dress for brunch the day after pairing them with this tee & jeans… They are so versatile and go with almost everything. And the tee is super comfy!
Mom Boss Flowy Tee: Strawberry Revolution
How could you not feel empowered wearing MOM BOSS across your chest?!
Carolyn Ring in Midnight Black Druzy: Wrenn Jewelry
Obsessed with this ring (and the Brooke ring in gold druzy I have, both by Wrenn). They add class to every outfit, whether it’s casual or formal.
“Straight From Da Motherhood” tee: Lumber Gypsy (similiar) | Elbow Patch Cardi: Ruby Claire Boutique | Shoes: Old Navy
“MOM-PRUH-NUER” Tank: Strawberry Revolution (currently on sale!!)
Laughing at the fact that I’m currently writing this while in bed (past midnight) after a long, hard day of being a mama. I managed to keep the kids alive AND I’m working my butt off as a blogger! I feel like this tank was made for me!
