Currently Crushing On: Blogger & Shop Owner Essentials

February 11, 2016

I’ve been a blogger for almost two years now and it has been the most amazing experience! I’ve built incredible relationships, met amazing people, worked with phenomenal brands. Overall, I would call my blog successful for still being a baby! I don’t have all the answers, in fact I still ask for help quite often! But I have learned a few things along the way… So today I’m sharing my current crush, which happens to be a few products that can make your life easier as a blogger (or shop owner or businesswoman or mama)!

Say thank you! Brands need bloggers and bloggers need brands. It’s that simple. We work really hard to deliver unique and beautiful content. And brands create something out of nothing and bring ideas to life! I’m so lucky to have been able to work with brands that I’ve been a fan of for years. And the best way to show your appreciation for a new relationship and partnership is to say thank you. Always say thank you. But even better than sending it in an email? Sending it the good ‘ole fashion way! I have the cutest stationary that fits my brand and blog perfectly. It’s so much fun to be able to send out gratitude, knowing and hoping that it will make someone’s day and build that blogger/brand relationship! (I absolutely love that I can get my return address printed on the back on these envelopes. And the back of my stationary is to. die. for.)

Get business cards. A few months ago, I was attending my first blogging event and someone asked me for a business card. Then another. Then another! I felt really dumb, like I should’ve known… But no one ever said “get business cards” to me! So I’m saying it to¬†you. Get em! It’s a great way to publicize your blog in person. I was at the hair salon the other day and we got to talking about my blog and I was able to give her my card with allllll my information on it, so she could look me up when she got off work. It made it so easy! It’s also a great way to, once again, form relationships. You never know when you’re going to run into a small business owner, PR rep, photographer or restaurateur that you could feature!
