Brooklynn & Harlym’s Big Girl Room (Toddler Room Reveal)

April 3, 2016

I am so excited to finally share pictures of the girls’ BIG GIRL room! It’s been such a long but amazing process to create this room completely from scratch. I wanted a simple black and white theme, and to add bits and pieces of their little personalities throughout. It came out beautifully. It’s simple and modern, and they love it!

I was able to incorporate pieces from several of my favorite small shops! I am a long-time fan of Red Bunny Designs and love their work, so I asked them to create Brooklynn and Harlym’s blankets! We brainstormed, went over fabrics, put different pieces together and I am SO HAPPY with how they came out!! They did such a beautiful job of creating exactly what I envisioned. The canvas and print above the bookcase are from Uh-Oh Pasgettio (Let Them Be Little · A Sister) and are the perfect additions to the walls! The bows are Urban Wall Decals and are easily one of my favorite parts of the room! They are super easy to apply and came out just the way I wanted!

These custom name blocks are from Smiling Tree Toys!

Play dough is from Zdough / Felt dinosaur set is from While They Slept / Tic Tac Toe set is from This & That, Etc.

We live in a three bedroom home, so when I got pregnant with baby #3, we struggled with what we wanted to do for the kids’ rooms! Brooklynn and Harlym had their own bedrooms and had never shared a room, so we didn’t know if it was a good idea for them to be in the same room. Ultimately, we decided that we would try it out (so that we could have a nursery) and guess what?! It was perfect! The girls are closer, play together more often, sleep better and simply love sharing a room! I’m so happy we decided to change things up.

Do your kids share a room? If not, would you ever consider it? Tell me in the comments below!

We just put in a bunk bed so the kids can share a room together. Its a bit tricky because they’re 5 yrs apart but William is at his moms most of the time and so far they love it. Not sure what I’m going to do with all her girly stuff :(
