Halloween is just TWO days away! My kids have been over the moon excited about trick or treating on Halloween night. They have their costumes picked out and ready to go. But, just in case you haven’t figured out what costumes to wear yet… I have you covered with 7 last minute Halloween costume ideas! And the best part? Most of these costumes consist of items you already have in your closet.
1) Darla & Alfalfa (from The Little Rascals)
My kids are obsessed with The Little Rascals. And my best friend’s kids are, too! So, we figured — why not dress our two year olds up as their favorite characters?! For this costume, you just need a cute dress for Darla and suspenders with a bow tie for Alfalfa. Oh, and hair gel!
2) Mom and Dad
Have your kids dress as you! For this one, I had my oldest daughter wear my husband’s work hat and shirt and drew a beard on her with eyeliner. I had my second oldest daughter wear a baby wrap (along with a baby doll), with a mama coffee mug and phone case! Our friends and family got a huge kick out of this one.
3) Cabbage Patch Doll
Grab a cute cabbage patch doll hat or wig and you’re set. Bonus points if you’re baby has squishy cheeks!
4) Harry Potter & Muggle Baby
For this one, I just borrowed my brother’s shirt and picked up a robe, tie and wand at the local Halloween store. And Bronx’s “snuggle this muggle” onesie was the perfect match. Go Gryffindor!
5) Cheech & Chong
Hey mannnnn, this costume was so easy! You just need eyeliner for beards, a beanie and a bandana, a yellow tank top, suspenders, and a jean shirt. Oh, and we used the Harry Potter glasses again!
6) Damian & Janis (from Mean Girls)
SHE DOESN’T EVEN GO HERE! This costume is so easy and you’re sure to have everything you need already in your closet. In a nutshell, you need a hoodie with drawstrings, sunglasses, a barrette, and eyeliner!
7) Dwight Schrute (from The Office)
Can you even handle this tiny Dwight?! My best friend’s daughter, Sammie, makes the perfect Dwight! All she needed was a middle part, tie, button up and glasses!
8) Alvin & The Chipmunks
Alvin, Simon, and Theodore are the easiest costumes ever because all you need are blue, green and red tops. Add a yellow “A” onto the red top, and you’re good to go! (We got the tops here.)
Special thanks to my bestie, Darrelle, for helping me with this post!
