Last week, I got an airbrush spray tan for the first time EVER! Here are three things I learned in the process:

Number 1: If you get a spray tan from someone who knows what they’re doing (like I did), you will feel 100% comfortable and relaxed. Being naked in a room with someone you don’t know that well can be terrifying. Honestly, I was extremely nervous. But all those fears and worries faded away as soon as I stepped in the room with Stephanie (Karma Salon‘s owner). She made me feel at home and the beautiful atmosphere helped me breathe easy. I learned that if you go to the right person, you have nothing to be worried about.

Number 2: I know they say that stretch marks are your “tiger stripes” and you should be proud of them. And that’s totally fine! But I hate mine. I haven’t learned to love them and I don’t think I ever will. After my first spray tan, you couldn’t see the stretch marks on my inner thighs! It was like a miracle. It gave me incredible confidence. I learned that every mom should (at least) give spray tans a try!

Number 3: I’m going to be 100% honest with y’all. I am HOOKED! After the spray tan, my color looked amazing!! I couldn’t stop looking at my legs because they hadn’t been this tan since high school!! I learned that I’m going to have to add spray tans into my monthly beauty budget.

So to recap, GO GET A SPRAY TAN!

This was my first time visiting Karma Salon in Old Town Scottsdale! The atmosphere of the salon is serene and relaxing. While getting a gel manicure, I sat by a water wall that was incredibly peaceful. Shelby did an incredible job! A week and a half later, my mani still looks as good as the day it was done. Stephanie, the owner, did my airbrush spray tan. She has actually won awards for Scottsdale’s Best Airbrush Tan!! Then to finish my spa day, Shelby styled my hair and did my make-up! They seriously spoiled me! I had such a great time. And an added bonus? All of the products used at Karma are sustainable, botanical, and naturally derived. Their tagline “organic beauty” fits them perfectly!

Have you ever had a spray tan done? If not, would you try it?

[…] No. 8: The stretch marks. I thought I was one of the lucky few when I reached 35 weeks pregnant (with my first) and didn’t have a single stretch mark on my body! And then between 35-40 weeks, I got around 10. With my second, I got around 10 more. Between my second and third pregnancies, I struggled with my weight and got stretch marks all over my thighs and hips. Annnnd got barely any with my third pregnancy! But the damage had been done. I stopped trying to use special creams and serums and expensive lotions. It was pointless. But I will say, spray tans work wonders. […]
